disable the autoplay voice in read mode, automatically save your reading position without playing

Can u plz disable the autoplay voice in read mode

also i need auto bookmark where i stood reading if i don’t select the word i stood reading at next time i open the app it begins from where it stopped playing not from where i stopped reading

    Summary of your request

    • You’d like Read Mode to be silent by default, with voice playback only starting when you manually trigger it (for example by long-pressing a word or sentence), so it feels different from Listen Mode.

    • You’d like the app to automatically save your reading position, even when you’re just scrolling and reading silently, without selecting any text, so it resumes from where you stopped reading — not where audio last played.

    • You expect Read Mode to include proper reading options like font size and font type, since it’s meant for actual reading.

    • You’d also like an option to set Read Mode as the default mode instead of Listen Mode.

    Our current focus

    At the moment, we are primarily a text-to-speech (TTS) reader app, so most of our development time and resources are focused on improving the Listen Mode and voice experience. Because of that, Read Mode hasn’t yet received the same level of attention and customization as a full ebook reader.

    Once the Listen Mode reaches a more mature and stable stage, we do plan to prioritize improvements to Read Mode, including better reading controls, clearer separation between reading and listening behaviors, and smarter bookmarking based on reading position.

      I meant that I sometimes just read the book and don’t use the voice to text so i swipe along like an ordinary ebook reader but i don’t actually select a sentence , so the reader doesn’t auto save my progress in the book it only saves if i select a word or a sentence. Also the reader mode doesn’t have options like font type or size isn’t it meant for actually reading ?

      also ,The voice reader automatically play just similar to the listen mode though they should be different i suggest the voice reader should b manually operated like i have to long press a word or sentence to play. If there anything you don’t understand plz tell me i really appreciate ur enthusiasm and ur fast reply
