Intelligent contextual memory
I would like to suggest adding an intelligent contextual memory feature, similar to a "Build Consistent Terminology" function.
The goal would be to enable the application to store the context of a book in order to maintain a consistent and faithful translation throughout the reading experience, including across different chapters.
This memory could automatically retain essential information from the story, including:
• Characters: Their names, nicknames, relationships, characteristics, and roles in the story.
• Terminology: Recurring terms, specific expressions, and their preferred translations.
• Narrative context: Important events, previously revealed information, and details necessary to understand what happens next.
• Writing style and tone: Each character’s speaking style, habitual expressions, and the nuances of their dialogue.
• Translation consistency: Preventing names, expressions, and previously translated terms from changing meaning or wording from one chapter to another.
Ideally, this memory would persist throughout the entire book and automatically be used when translating subsequent chapters. Users should also be able to view, edit, correct, or delete stored information.
The goal is not simply to maintain a glossary of words and their translations, but to give the application a persistent contextual understanding of the book, allowing each new chapter to be translated with full consideration of previously read content.
This feature would be particularly useful for readers of novels, web novels, and long-form stories, where narrative continuity and translation consistency are essential.
Thank you for your continued work on TTS Reader and for considering this suggestion.
