Book constantly pauses now

Since the last update or so the app won't read in the background. It was fine before and worked great with no issues, but now I can't listen to my book when I switch windows or put it to sleep. It'll play the bulk of the chapter then it just shuts off, forcing me to keep waking the phone to pull the app up just to continue to the next page. No matter what setting I choose, read, listen or car mode, it just shuts the player off if the app screen isn't actively open and running. I have the run in background setting on but it doesn't prevent it from happening. All my other apps play fine while my phone is idle but this one is being a fickle mistress. I guess I got a lil too cocky when bragging about me not being affected by this issue at all, lol. Lessons have been learned. 😏
