It would be nice to get a function where the audio is pre-loaded. It doesn’t need to be the whole text. But maybe some minutes so that if you lose your connection a bit, the audio won’t stop.
I see this feature is planned, but the request is 6 months old. I just came to request the same thing. Pre caching audio a couple of paragraphs ahead would be a great feature. Like OP said this would do great in accounting for spotty network connection as well as gapless playback. Currently after each paragraph we have to wait for the next one to send off and return the request. Starting this before the playback of the current segment ends and then streaming it once the position is reached would do wonders to increase audio smoothness.

Yes, that’d be useful to me too. Don’t know how much is reasonable to ask for but would be great if it saved down enough for a commute with a connection.
