Different voice for different characters? assign a voice to each character of the book and keep it throughout the entire reading

Do you think it would be possible, when reading a novel, to assign a voice to each character of the book and keep it throughout the entire reading, so that the reading becomes more vivid? I don’t know if this is possible at the moment. I believe ElevenLabs is working on it. The artificial intelligence would need to detect each character and automatically assign a voice—this would be really great.

I don’t know how difficult this would be, but will be very nice to have different voice for the different characters within a book.

Love the app by the way. Great job team.

About the feature where each character in a novel would automatically have their own voice:

Yes — I’m also thinking about this, and I completely agree that it would make the reading experience far more vivid and immersive. With today’s AI, this is becoming technically possible. However, companies like ElevenLabs have large teams working on these features, while I’m building Voice Reader alone — so it will take more time to develop something similar. I want to make sure that the foundation of the app is fully solid first, especially background playback and long continuous reading.

Once everything is stable, I plan to focus on more advanced features like this.

I just wanted to say that I recently started reading on webnovel and they use the same voices as voice aloud does. Anyway, they use a dual voice option for the text. Basically, it has Jenny (or whomever you choose) as voice 1 reading all the main text/ narration, and Brian, or whomever as voice 2, to read the secondary texts, which is usually anything said in quotes. You can't assign characters exactly, but it atleast gives variation to the reading to break things up a bit. Maybe you could download the app for yourself and see what I mean? It's pretty simple as far as designs go but that could be an effective tool to implement on voice aloud until you come up with a better system to assign voices. Thanks for your hard work, I hope this helps.
