Ability to select text (and "share to" other apps)
I would like to be able to select text and share it to apps like Reverso where I can add it to word lists and see other example sentences.
But there is no way of selecting text in any mode (listening, reading, translating).
In listen mode, a tap repositions the reader and a long press adds a bookmark.
In read and translate mode, taps and long presses do nothing.
In the translate section at the bottom of the screen, taps and long presses do nothing.
Could the text in at least one of these places be made selectable and shareable ? The obvious place would be in the translate section at the bottom of the screen as this is already the text that is being studied and it wouldn’t affect any of the other modes/functions.
Thanks

Long click in listening mode now open menu to Copy, Share , Bookmark.
Click in translating mode will do the same.
@Jon Nixon if you want to improve anything let me know.

Will I be able to select more than one word? Eg. A short phrase. I just read “il avait sonné le glas”. voicereader correctly translated it as “it had sounded the death knell” but I wanted to jump over to Reverso Context for more examples

As now it will select the whole sentence and you cannot select single word. but I add the way to select multiple sentences and also download them if needed.
here is quick demo:

if something missing let me know.

That’s fine as it should still do what I need. Thanks, I’ll look out for the update.

Hi. Thanks for the select text feature. I now have a couple of workarounds to do what I want so the immediate problem is solved.
However, the workflow from listen or translate mode requires lots of clicks so maybe something easier could be added in the future.
I’ve noticed that in read mode I can now long press a word to select it. I’m sure I couldn’t do that before but that’s exactly what I wanted in the other modes so it’s the easiest way for me to share words now.
Current workflow…
In listen or translate mode: long press sentence. Copy text (Reverso doesn’t accept shares of long texts). Open Reverso. Paste text. Edit it down to the word I want. This works but is very clumsy
From read mode: long press word. Share to Reverso. This works well but means I may be switching from listening to to read mode quite a lot
Thanks again

Recently we added a way to edit sentence so you can use this feature to edit sentence or copy the word you want

Thanks. That works too, so I now have several workarounds.
It takes a lot of clicks though, so maybe a more streamlined workflow (having selectable text displayed somewhere by default) is something for the future

Hi -
A great feature of this app is the ability to read kindle books. I’ve just discovered that in the listen mode for kindle books the words are selectable and shareable. This does exactly what I want. Thanks!
