More robust filters

Hey love the app, the filters are a very useful feature but I was curious with we could get a few more advanced options. Currently we cannot replace characters with a space, filters see it as an empty string but sometimes the space would be useful over skipping a character to force TTS to break hyphens into two seperate words. Regex filter options, allowing for advanced logic and an ability to anticipate some variations in filters Smart filters filters that apply only under certain context. Good examples: filters A, B and C only run on epub file types, while D E and F run only on web links. Web based filters or html filters. The ability to build a filter or custom parser using context like web url domains and html bodies or xpath locations and the ability to auto run them in import from a webpage would be great. That way I can pre scrub out all of the UI text elements that get passed into the reader from url sharing. Thanks!

text filter for any language

Hello, I have a suggestion for improving the Text Filter feature in the app. Currently, the text filter replaces words globally without considering the language of the text. For example, I added a rule to replace the symbol % with the Uzbek word “foiz”. This works well for Uzbek texts, but when I listen to Russian books, the app reads “foiz” instead of the correct Russian word “процент”. Because of this, the pronunciation becomes incorrect in multilingual texts. My suggestion is to allow users to specify the language in the Text Filter rules. For example: % → “foiz” (only for Uzbek) % → “процент” (only for Russian) This way, the replacement would depend on the language of the text being read. I believe this would greatly improve the experience for users who listen to books in multiple languages. Thank you for the great app!

We want something new

As a French user, we would like more premium French narrators, both male and female. We would also like to have two or more narrators simultaneously during audio. For example, when the story is told from a woman's perspective, it would be preferable for a female narrator to speak, thus bringing a touch of sensitivity and authenticity to the narration. Similarly, when it is from a man's perspective, a male narrator would be more appropriate to properly convey the emotions and nuances of the story. This approach not only improves the quality of the performance but also better represents the different perspectives and experiences of the characters, making the stories more captivating and believable for the audience. All of this in a synchronized manner.

Planned

Couple of issues related to progress measurement throughout the book.

First off, love the app, it’s really increased the amount of reading I’m doing. Right now I’m reading an epub which is divided into 8 parts, but the first six are tiny e.g. acknowledgements. Parts 7 and 8 are about 4 hours each and contain all the substance of the book. When I’m in Part 7, the Library page on the Android app reports that I’m 88% of the way through, and this number doesn’t change for the entirety of the time I’m reading through Part 7. Obviously it’s just calculating 7/8=87.5% and rounding up to 88%. It’s strange that even with four hours of reading that number doesn’t budge! Related to that on the Library page, it reports the time remaining as about 4 hours, which again doesn’t move at all as I read through Part 7 for hours. Again it looks as if it’s calculated off the time for each Part, but not updated for the time that’s spent within a Part. As I really like to know how much longer I’ve got to go through a book, that’s quite frustrating! Would it be possible to calculate based off words covered so far divided by total word count?
